Product Overview
Clone AADH-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ATP synthase F(1) complex subunit beta, mitochondrial (gene ATP5F1B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 56.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
ATP5F1B is the beta subunit of the catalytic F1 head of mitochondrial ATP synthase (complex V). The beta subunits contain the catalytic sites that make ATP from ADP and phosphate, driven by the proton gradient built by the respiratory chain.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human HepG2 cells, human PC-3 cells, human Caco-2 cells, rat heart tissue, rat RH35 cells, mouse heart tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human lung cancer tissue, human spleen tissue, human testicular germ cells tumor tissue, mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human ATPB.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ATP synthase F(1) complex subunit beta, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion inner membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
