Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein SCS2 in baker's yeast samples.
In the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Scs2 is a VAP-family protein anchored in the endoplasmic reticulum that binds FFAT motifs on partner proteins. It holds proteins such as the repressor Opi1 at the ER to regulate phospholipid synthesis and helps form contact sites between the ER and the plasma membrane.
