Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets B-cell receptor-associated protein 31 (gene BCAP31) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry and ELISA.
BCAP31 (BAP31) is an abundant multi-pass membrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum that acts as a chaperone and sorting factor. It controls ER export or retention of membrane proteins, helps route misfolded proteins to ER-associated degradation, and when cleaved by caspase-8 it can relay apoptotic signals between the ER and mitochondria.

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places B-cell receptor-associated protein 31 in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous.
