Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects apoptosis regulator Bcl-2 (gene BCL2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 26.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
Bcl-2 (BCL2) is an anti-apoptotic protein located mainly on the mitochondrial outer membrane that binds and restrains pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members such as BAX, BAK and BH3-only proteins. It was first identified through the t(14;18) translocation in follicular lymphoma, and it is a central regulator of mitochondrial apoptosis and a target of BH3-mimetic drugs.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places apoptosis regulator Bcl-2 in the mitochondrion outer membrane, nuclear membrane, endoplasmic reticulum membrane and cytoplasm.
