Product Overview
Clone EEE-2 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes bcl-2-related protein A1 (gene BCL2A1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 20.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 27 kDa.
Bcl-2-related protein A1 (BCL2A1, also called Bfl-1/A1) is an anti-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family. It is expressed mainly in hematopoietic cells and is induced by NF-κB and inflammatory signals, and it helps immune and endothelial cells survive during activation. BCL2A1 is also studied in blood cancers and resistance to apoptosis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Raji cells, human A549 cells, human PC-3 cells, huamn OE19 cells, human OE33 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places bcl-2-related protein A1 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Seems to be restricted to the hematopoietic compartment. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
