Product Overview
Clone 22B55 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes bcl-2-like protein 12 (gene BCL2L12) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 36.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 32 kDa.
Bcl-2-like protein 12 (BCL2L12) is a proline-rich protein with a BH2-like domain that is related to the Bcl-2 family. It has been reported to regulate apoptosis, including inhibition of caspase activation in glioma cells, but its function has not been fully characterized.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed mainly in breast, thymus, prostate, fetal liver, colon, placenta, pancreas, small intestine, spinal cord, kidney, and bone marrow and to a lesser extent in many other tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
