Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes B-cell lymphoma 3 protein (gene BCL3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 47.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
BCL3 is an IκB family protein with ankyrin repeats that binds the NF-κB p50 and p52 homodimers. Depending on context, it can act as a transcriptional coactivator or corepressor of NF-κB target genes, and it was first identified at a chromosomal translocation in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse Neuro-2a cells, human HEK293 cells, human Jurkat cells, human PC-3 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U251 cells.

Recombinant human BCL3 fragment (Glu118–Tyr307), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places B-cell lymphoma 3 protein in the nucleus and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
