Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes B-cell lymphoma 6 protein (gene BCL6) in human samples and is validated for ICC/IF, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 78.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90–95 kDa.
BCL6 is a zinc finger transcriptional repressor that is required for germinal center formation, where it allows B cells to proliferate and tolerate DNA damage during antibody affinity maturation. It also drives T follicular helper cell differentiation. BCL6 is frequently deregulated in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Ramos cells, human Daudi cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human tonsil tissue, human B cells lymphoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SiHa cells.

Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human BCL6. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places B-cell lymphoma 6 protein in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in germinal center T- and B-cells and in primary immature dendritic cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
