Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets beta-3 adrenergic receptor (gene ADRB3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 43.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
Beta-3 adrenergic receptor (ADRB3) is a G protein-coupled receptor for norepinephrine expressed in fat tissue and bladder. It promotes lipolysis and thermogenesis in adipose tissue and relaxes bladder smooth muscle, where it is targeted by drugs such as mirabegron.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEK293 cells, rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:100, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places beta-3 adrenergic receptor in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed mainly in adipose tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
