Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein BEX3 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 13.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 28 kDa.
BEX3 (also known as NADE) is a small protein of the brain-expressed X-linked family. It has been reported to bind the p75 neurotrophin receptor and take part in NGF-induced apoptosis, and more recently to act in the cellular response to reductive stress through the CRL2-FEM1B ubiquitin ligase.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human hcct tissue, human hccp tissue, human MCF-7 cells, human HeLa cells, rat liver tissue, rat L6 cells, mouse liver tissue, mouse C2C12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): MCF-7 cells.

Recombinant human BEX3 fragment (Gln39–His103), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein BEX3 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Found in ovarian granulosa cells, testis, prostate and seminal vesicle tissue. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
