Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets biglycan (gene BGN) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry.
Biglycan (BGN) is a small leucine-rich proteoglycan of the extracellular matrix that carries chondroitin or dermatan sulfate chains. It binds collagen and influences collagen fibril assembly, and it can modulate growth factor signaling. Biglycan is abundant in bone, cartilage and other connective tissues and is studied in skeletal biology and inflammation.

Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human biglycan/BGN. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in placenta (at protein level).
