Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects BPI fold-containing family B member 1 (gene BPIFB1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
BPIFB1 (also called LPLUNC1) is a secreted protein of the BPI fold family found in the upper airways, nose and mouth. It binds bacterial lipopolysaccharide and is thought to contribute to innate immune defense at mucosal surfaces.

Recombinant human BPIFB1 fragment (Thr26–Lys477), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 58.9% and 57.4%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes BPI fold-containing family B member 1 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in duodenum mucosal crypts of cholera patients, near Paneth cells (at protein level).
