Product Overview
Clone 20B34 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes bromodomain-containing protein 2 (gene BRD2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 88.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 110 kDa.
BRD2 is a member of the BET family of chromatin readers, whose two bromodomains bind acetylated histones. It helps recruit transcriptional regulators to active genes and contributes to chromatin boundary function together with CTCF. BRD2 is studied in transcriptional regulation, inflammation and metabolism, and it is a target of BET inhibitors such as JQ1.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): NCCIT cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human BRD2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places bromodomain-containing protein 2 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
