Product Overview
Clone 19B32 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine-protein kinase BUB1 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 122.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 140 kDa.
BUB1 is a mitotic serine/threonine kinase that binds kinetochores and is needed for the spindle assembly checkpoint and correct chromosome alignment. It phosphorylates histone H2A at Thr120, which recruits shugoshin to protect centromeric cohesion and helps localize the chromosomal passenger complex.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human bub1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine-protein kinase BUB1 in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): High expression in testis and thymus, less in colon, spleen, lung and small intestine. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
