Product Overview
Clone ABFG-2 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine-protein kinase BUB1 beta (gene BUB1B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 119.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.
BubR1 (BUB1B) is a kinase-family protein of the spindle assembly checkpoint. As part of the mitotic checkpoint complex with MAD2, BUB3 and CDC20, it holds the anaphase-promoting complex (APC/C) inactive until every chromosome is correctly attached to the spindle, and it also helps recruit the motor CENPE to kinetochores. It is studied in mitosis, chromosome instability, aneuploidy and aging.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine-protein kinase BUB1 beta in the cytoplasm, nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in thymus followed by spleen. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
