Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes 5'-AMP-activated protein kinase catalytic subunit alpha-1 (gene aak-1) in C. elegans samples.
In Caenorhabditis elegans, AAK-1 is one of two catalytic alpha subunits of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). Together with AAK-2, it helps keep germline stem cells quiescent during the dauer stage and supports glycogen storage needed to resist osmotic stress, making it a tool for studying energy sensing in worms.
