Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes shugoshin (gene sgo-1) in C. elegans samples.
In Caenorhabditis elegans, SGO-1 is a shugoshin family protein that helps ensure accurate chromosome segregation. It participates in meiotic checkpoint surveillance of homolog synapsis and in the DNA damage response, and like other shugoshins it helps protect cohesin on chromosomes from premature release.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with C. elegans. UniProt places shugoshin in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Caenorhabditis elegans): Expressed in gonads.
