Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets spectrin beta chain (gene unc-70) in C. elegans samples.
In the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans, UNC-70 is the beta-spectrin chain of the membrane skeleton. It supports the mechanical integrity of neurons, and loss of UNC-70 makes axons prone to breaking under movement. It is studied as a model for how the spectrin cytoskeleton protects neurons.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with C. elegans. UniProt places spectrin beta chain in the cytoplasm.
