Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects mast/stem cell growth factor receptor Kit in human samples and is validated for flow cytometry, IHC, ICC/IF and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 109.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 109 kDa.
KIT (CD117) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by stem cell factor (SCF). It supports the survival and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells, mast cells, melanocytes and germ cells, and activating KIT mutations drive gastrointestinal stromal tumors and some mast cell and blood cancers.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Recombinan human C-Kit Protein 05ng, HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human intestinal cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6).
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human c-Kit fragment (Gln26–Ser285), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 66%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): In testis, detected in spermatogonia in the basal layer and in interstitial Leydig cells but not in Sertoli cells or spermatocytes inside the seminiferous tubules (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
