| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide derived from human c-Rel c-Rel contains an amino-terminal DNA-binding domain referred to as the REL homology domain (REH) and carboxy-terminal transactivation domains. The c-Rel protein is typically inhibited in unstimulated cells by I Kappa B Alpha and I Kappa B Beta . c-Rel expression is highest in hematopoietic cells with extensive research studies demonstrating its role in immune cell function and pathogenesis of disease. |

Product Overview
Clone ADDH-18 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes proto-oncogene c-Rel in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 68.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 78 kDa.
c-Rel (REL) is a member of the NF-κB family of transcription factors. It forms dimers with other NF-κB subunits and, after release from IκB inhibitors, enters the nucleus to control genes involved in immune responses, lymphocyte proliferation and survival. c-Rel is particularly important in B and T cells and is studied in immunity and lymphoma.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|---|
| Immunoprecipitation | 1:20 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Daudi cells, human Caco-2 cells, human A549 cells, human RT4 cells, human K562 cells, human Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human c-Rel c-Rel contains an amino-terminal DNA-binding domain referred to as the REL homology domain (REH) and carboxy-terminal transactivation domains.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places proto-oncogene c-Rel in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
