Product Overview
Clone 27C76 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes complement C1s subcomponent in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 76.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90 kDa.
C1s is the serine protease of the C1 complex that carries out the first enzymatic steps of the classical complement pathway. After activation by C1r, it cleaves complement C4 and C2 to generate the C3 convertase C4b2a, amplifying the cascade that opsonizes pathogens. It is studied in complement activation, autoimmune disease and complement-targeted therapies.
