Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets calcitonin gene-related peptide 1 (gene CALCA) in human samples and is validated for IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 13.9 kDa.
CALCA encodes calcitonin gene-related peptide 1 (αCGRP), produced by alternative splicing of the calcitonin gene in sensory and central neurons. CGRP is a powerful vasodilator acting through the CALCRL–RAMP1 receptor and a key mediator of neurogenic inflammation and pain signaling. It is a major target in migraine research.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
