Product Overview
Clone 21C26 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type 1 (gene CAMK1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 41.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 41 kDa.
CaMKI (CAMK1) is a Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that is fully activated when CaMKK phosphorylates its activation loop. This CaMKK–CaMKI cascade responds to calcium influx and influences transcription, cell cycle progression, actin organization and neurite outgrowth, so the kinase is studied in neuronal development and calcium signaling.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type 1 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
