Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets calpain-5 (gene CAPN5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Calpain-5 is a Ca2+-regulated cysteine protease of the calpain family that lacks the typical C-terminal EF-hand domain. It is expressed in the retina, brain and other tissues, and mutations in CAPN5 cause an inherited inflammatory eye disease (autosomal dominant neovascular inflammatory vitreoretinopathy).
