Product Overview
Clone 22C70 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes alpha-S1-casein (gene CSN1S1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 21.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
Alpha-S1-casein (CSN1S1) is a major milk phosphoprotein that assembles with other caseins into micelles, allowing milk to carry large amounts of calcium phosphate. Peptides released from it during digestion can have biological activity, and caseins are studied in lactation biology, mammary gland function and dairy science.

|---|---|
| Immunoprecipitation | 1:50 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human milk.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human casein.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes alpha-S1-casein as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Mammary gland specific. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
