Product Overview
Clone EHB-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes caspase-6 (gene CASP6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 33.3 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 11, 33 kDa.
Caspase-6 is a cysteine protease classed as an executioner caspase that also has non-apoptotic roles. It cleaves nuclear lamins, contributing to nuclear breakdown in apoptosis, and it has been implicated in axonal degeneration and in cleavage of huntingtin and tau. It is studied in neurodegeneration, notably Huntington's and Alzheimer's disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
