Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets high affinity cationic amino acid transporter 1 (gene SLC7A1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 67.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 73 kDa.
CAT-1 (SLC7A1) is a high-affinity transporter for arginine, lysine and ornithine, the cationic amino acids, active in most tissues outside the liver. By supplying arginine, it supports protein synthesis and nitric oxide production.
