Product Overview
Clone 20C03 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes core-binding factor subunit beta (gene CBFB) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 21.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
Core-binding factor beta (CBFβ) is the non-DNA-binding partner of the RUNX transcription factors RUNX1, RUNX2 and RUNX3. By pairing with them, it increases their DNA-binding affinity and protects them from degradation, which is essential for blood cell development and bone formation. The CBFB–MYH11 fusion from inversion 16 is a classic driver of acute myeloid leukemia.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): K562 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CBFb.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places core-binding factor subunit beta in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
