Product Overview
Clone 28A03 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes BRCA1-A complex subunit Abraxas 1 (gene ABRAXAS1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 46.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
Abraxas 1 (ABRAXAS1, CCDC98) is the scaffold subunit of the BRCA1-A complex. It recruits BRCA1 to sites of DNA double-strand breaks marked by K63-linked ubiquitin chains on histones, supporting the DNA damage checkpoint and repair, and it is studied in genome stability and breast cancer.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CCDC98.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places BRCA1-A complex subunit Abraxas 1 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
