Product Overview
Clone 23C55 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes C-C motif chemokine 4 (gene CCL4) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 10.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 12 kDa.
CCL4, also known as MIP-1β, is a CC chemokine produced by activated monocytes, macrophages and CD8+ T cells. It acts mainly through CCR5 to attract immune cells to sites of inflammation, and by occupying CCR5 it can block entry of CCR5-tropic HIV-1, which makes it a frequent target in immunology and HIV research.
