Product Overview
Clone AAO-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes C-C chemokine receptor type 9 (gene CCR9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 42.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
CCR9 is a G protein-coupled receptor for the chemokine CCL25 (TECK), which is produced in the thymus and small intestine. It guides developing thymocytes and gut-homing T cells and plasma cells, and it is studied in intestinal immunity and inflammatory bowel disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MOLT-4 cells, human Jurkat cells, human U-87MG cells, human K562 cells, human PANC-1 cells, human A549 cells, human A2780 cells, rat thymus tissue, rat PC-12 cells, mouse thymus tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CCR9.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places C-C chemokine receptor type 9 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in the thymus and low in lymph nodes and spleen. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
