Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes integrin alpha-X (gene ITGAX) in human and mouse samples and is validated for ELISA, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 127.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150 kDa.
Integrin alpha-X (ITGAX, CD11c) pairs with integrin beta-2 to form complement receptor 4, which binds iC3b and fibrinogen. It supports adhesion, migration and phagocytosis by myeloid cells, and CD11c is widely used as a marker of dendritic cells, especially in mouse.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse spleen tissue, mouse thymus tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human tonsil tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6).

Recombinant human CD11c fragment (Ser161–Thr342), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places integrin alpha-X in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Predominantly expressed in monocytes and granulocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
