Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 in human samples and is validated for IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 40.1 kDa.
CD14 is a pattern-recognition co-receptor on monocytes and macrophages that, together with LBP, captures bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and delivers it to the TLR4/MD-2 complex. This triggers NF-κB activation and inflammatory cytokine release, and CD14 is also a standard marker for monocytes in flow cytometry.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human placenta tissue, human tonsil tissue, human lymphadenoma tissue, human renal cells carcinoma tissue, human spleen tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SiHa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Caco-2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human CD14 fragment (Thr20–Asn259), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 as secreted and also located in the cell membrane, membrane raft and Golgi apparatus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected on macrophages (at protein level).
