Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 39.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
CD14 is a pattern-recognition co-receptor on monocytes and macrophages that, together with LBP, captures bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and delivers it to the TLR4/MD-2 complex. This triggers NF-κB activation and inflammatory cytokine release, and CD14 is also a standard marker for monocytes in flow cytometry.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Cd14 fragment (Asp36–Ala260), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the human and rat orthologs: 68.2% and 85.7%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse. UniProt describes monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 as secreted and also located in the cell membrane, membrane raft and Golgi apparatus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Detected on peritoneal macrophages (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
