Product Overview
Clone FFA-8 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes hyaluronan mediated motility receptor (gene HMMR) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 84.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
HMMR (also called RHAMM or CD168) is a hyaluronan-binding protein found on the cell surface and inside cells. It supports cell motility in response to hyaluronan and, inside the cell, associates with microtubules and the mitotic spindle. It is often overexpressed in tumors and is studied in cell migration, mitosis and cancer.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human stomach cancer tissue, human lung large cells cancer tissue, human Hodgkin's lymphoma tissue, human testis tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
