Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects T-cell surface antigen CD2 in mouse and rat samples and is validated for IHC, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 38.4 kDa.
CD2 is a T-cell and NK-cell surface adhesion molecule that binds CD58 (LFA-3) in humans and CD48 in rodents. This interaction strengthens contact between T cells and antigen-presenting or target cells, and CD2 also contributes co-stimulatory signals for T-cell activation.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse thymus tissue, rat lymphonodus tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): mouse spleen tissue, rat spleen tissue.
