Product Overview
Clone AFBD-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes T-cell surface antigen CD2 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 39.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.
CD2 is a T-cell and NK-cell surface adhesion molecule that binds CD58 (LFA-3) in humans and CD48 in rodents. This interaction strengthens contact between T cells and antigen-presenting or target cells, and CD2 also contributes co-stimulatory signals for T-cell activation.
