Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes OX-2 membrane glycoprotein (gene CD200) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 31.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
CD200 (OX-2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on neurons, endothelium, lymphocytes and other cells. By engaging its receptor CD200R on myeloid cells, it delivers an inhibitory signal that restrains macrophage and microglial activation, so it is studied in immune tolerance, neuroinflammation and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse SP20 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places OX-2 membrane glycoprotein in the cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
