Product Overview
Clone 17C54 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD209 antigen in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 45.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
DC-SIGN (CD209) is a C-type lectin receptor on immature dendritic cells and some macrophages that recognizes mannose- and fucose-containing glycans. It mediates pathogen uptake and cell adhesion via ICAM-3, and it is studied because viruses such as HIV-1 and dengue virus exploit it to attach to host cells.
