Product Overview
Clone 5E7 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes B-cell receptor CD22 in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 95.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 140 kDa.
CD22 is a Siglec (sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin) expressed on B cells that binds α2,6-linked sialic acid. Through ITIM motifs in its cytoplasmic tail it dampens B-cell receptor signaling, and it serves as a B-cell marker and a target in B-cell lymphoma and leukemia research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human raji tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human CD22. It differs from the mouse sequence at ten residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places B-cell receptor CD22 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): B-lymphocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
