Product Overview
Clone AFGC-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interleukin-2 receptor subunit alpha (gene IL2RA) in human samples and is validated for IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 30.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 31 kDa.
IL-2 receptor alpha (CD25) is the subunit that gives the IL-2 receptor high affinity for IL-2. It is highly expressed on regulatory T cells and on activated T cells, and it is essential for Treg maintenance and immune tolerance. CD25 is a common marker for Tregs and T-cell activation, and its soluble form is measured in inflammation studies.
