Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 8 (gene TNFRSF8) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 63.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 110 kDa.
CD30 (TNFRSF8) is a TNF receptor family member found on activated T and B lymphocytes. Binding of its ligand CD30L (TNFSF8) activates NF-κB and influences lymphocyte growth and survival. CD30 is a well-known marker of Hodgkin lymphoma Reed-Sternberg cells and anaplastic large cell lymphoma, and it is widely used in lymphoma research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human CD30 fragment (Thr322–Lys595), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 60% and 57%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in alveolar macrophages (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
