Product Overview
Clone AGI-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD44 antigen in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 81.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 82 kDa.
CD44 is a cell surface glycoprotein and the main receptor for hyaluronan. It mediates cell–cell and cell–matrix adhesion, lymphocyte homing and migration, and it is used as a marker of activated and memory T cells as well as a marker in cancer stem cell research.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt describes CD44 antigen as secreted and also located in the cell membrane and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in fibroblasts and urine (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
