Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects membrane cofactor protein (gene Cd46) in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot.
CD46, or membrane cofactor protein, is a widely expressed complement regulator that serves as a cofactor for factor I in cleaving C3b and C4b on host cells. It protects self tissue from complement attack, also regulates T-cell responses, and is used as a receptor by measles virus and several other pathogens.
