Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes L-selectin (gene SELL) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 42.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
L-selectin (SELL, CD62L) is a calcium-dependent lectin on the surface of most circulating leukocytes. It binds carbohydrate ligands on high endothelial venules, allowing lymphocytes to home to lymph nodes and leukocytes to tether and roll on inflamed endothelium, and CD62L is a common marker of naive and central memory T cells.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 0.5–1 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human placenta tissue, Jurkat cells, CEM cells, HL60 cells, rat spleen tissue, mouse spleen tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human tonsil tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant human L-selectin fragment (Trp39–Tyr372), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places L-selectin in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in B-cell lines and T-lymphocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
