Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets P-selectin (gene Selp) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA, flow cytometry and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 83.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 110 kDa.
P-selectin (SELP, CD62P) is an adhesion molecule stored in platelet α-granules and endothelial Weibel-Palade bodies and moved to the cell surface upon activation. It binds PSGL-1 on leukocytes to start their rolling during inflammation and links platelets with leukocytes, and it is widely used as a platelet activation marker.

| ELISA | Not specified by the supplier |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse heart tissue, rat heart tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): RAW264.7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse CD62P fragment (Trp42–Ala267), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places P-selectin in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Stored in the alpha-granules of platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
