Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects CD63 antigen in mouse and rat samples and is validated for IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 25.8 kDa.
CD63 is a tetraspanin found in late endosomes, lysosomes and multivesicular bodies, and on the cell surface. It is enriched on exosomes, where it is one of the most widely used markers, and it also serves as a marker of basophil and platelet activation.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places CD63 antigen in the cell membrane, lysosome membrane, late endosome membrane and endosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Ubiquitous.
