CD79A is a marker for B-lineage lymphoblastic leukemia; mutations in the corresponding mb-1 gene are responsible for abnormally low levels of functional B cell receptors in some cases of chronic B-cell lymphocytic leukemia. |

Product Overview
Clone ADOO-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha chain (gene CD79A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 25.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45–55 kDa.
CD79a (Igα) pairs with CD79b to form the signaling unit of the B-cell antigen receptor. Its ITAM motif is phosphorylated after antigen binding to start downstream signaling, and it is required for B-cell development, making it a standard pan-B-cell marker in tissue and lymphoma studies.
