Product Overview
Clone 18C52 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD83 antigen in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 23.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
CD83 is an immunoglobulin superfamily glycoprotein strongly upregulated on mature dendritic cells and also found on activated B and T cells. It is widely used as a dendritic cell maturation marker, and it helps regulate CD4+ T-cell selection in the thymus and the stability of MHC class II on the cell surface.
