Product Overview
Clone IOI-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cell division cycle protein 16 homolog (gene CDC16) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 71.7 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 60, 66, 72 kDa.
CDC16 is a core subunit of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a large E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets cell cycle regulators such as securin and mitotic cyclins for degradation. APC/C activity drives the metaphase-to-anaphase transition and mitotic exit, so CDC16 is studied in mitosis and genome stability.
